About Asa

Asa has served at Westside since 2008 when he was an intern while a student at the University of Florida. In his role as community development pastor, his passion is to see people and communities become exceptional. He works with various community groups and local ministry partners to extend the impact of the church. 


Asa serves as director of Westside’s Center for Ministry Training, which equips college-aged students desiring a life in vocational ministry with foundational theological and practical skills. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master of divinity degree. Additionally, he has attended seminars in global apologetics and is a frequent guest lecturer in theology, apologetics, and leadership. Asa loves coffee.
